Thank you to everyone who made it for the 'Clean up at Badbury Rings' Point community action day. We put on our garden gloves and sun glasses, then tackled the rubbish up and down the roads. Finishing the day with more rubbish than any of us expected and some unexpected odities!
Don't worry if you missed out this time, we look to do something different once a term, so If you have any ideas please send us a message on the 'Contact Page' and watch this space for our next community action day!
Baptism - Sandbanks Beach
On Sunday the 7th of June, a special celebration took place when The Point moved to Sandbanks beach. Six people, who had been through the Alpha Course with us, asked to be baptised. Almost 200 people gathered on the sunny shores to watch. Muisc was led by Tom, Freddie, Scott and Ella. Stephen talked us through what it means to be baptised. Then Rob, Connie, Rach, Poppy, Sophie and Jenna stepped out into the waves and were baptised by full immersion into the waters. As they emerged with joy we shared bacon rolls, cake, and marshmallows. The words of 'Oceans' were ringing in our ears. Oh, happy day!
